We at Department of Science of Dental Materials aim to provide its undergraduate and postgraduate students detailed knowledge to understand significance of dental materials, their composition, structure, properties, manipulation and biocompatibility. All types of dental materials including restorative materials, auxiliary materials, preventive materials and temporary materials will be discussed in detail, manipulated in the laboratory under the supervision of trained faculty and assistants. Strategies like lectures, laboratory work, small group discussions, self directed learning and problem based learning will be used to make students well trained, skilled and  familiar with the materials in dentistry, so that they can perform better in clinics to achieve mission of ”SMILING WASAIB”.
